Goals and tasks
Strategic goals of the Organization:
Strategic development plan of the International Public Organization “Rights and Prosperity” for 2009-2011
The International Public Organization is planning to achieve five strategic goals for the period from 2009 to 2011. Four of these goals are programme goals (such as actions towards the organization’s mission) while one of them is the goal aimed at internal development. Strategic goals are the following:
- Provision of legal information, consultations and support to vulnerable children, namely orphans and children with disabilities, through the work with the government and ministry of social protection of the population aimed at institutional changes in children’s institutions and provision of support to poor families outside the institutions;
- Provision of legal information, consultations and support to small (dekhkan) farmers, supporting them in getting access to land resources and new business, agricultural skills and resources;
- Cooperation with another governmental organizations for the development of sustainable and active civil society in Tajikistan, awareness, establishment of contacts and lobbying at local and governmental levels;
- Development and application of sensitive gender approach for three aforementioned directions of activity focusing on problems of special character with which vulnerable girls and boys, poor men and women are facing with;
- Further organization and institutional development of the “Rights & Prosperity” and improvement of its human and financial resources.
Directions of organization’s activity:
- Advocacy for vulnerable children, work with the government and ministry of social protection of the population on introduction of changes and improvement of work of children’s institutions as well as on improvement of support provided to poor families outside institutions.
- Legal assistance to small (dekhkan) farmers in getting access to land and new business and agricultural skills and resources;
- Cooperation with other organizations in the sphere of development of sustainable and active civil society in Tajikistan, awareness, lobbying and constructive work at local and regional levels.
- Gender to be a cross-cutting issue within implementation in three aforementioned directions with the use of narrow and sensitive approach to special problems vulnerable girls and boys, poor men and women are facing with.
- Improvement of potential of staff, development of organization in general and its connection with the society.
