Partnership with governmental sector
The R&P works in the direction of improvement of legal potential:
i. Under ACT CA project – in practical observance of the rights of orphans and social orphans with government officials: workers of guardianship institutions, juvenile commissions, committees on women and family affairs, workers of jamoats, juvenile inspectors from regional police departments, officers of juvenile departments under prosecutor offices.
10 joint plans have been designed and implemented together with governmental structures and public organizations in regions of Khatlon District: Muminobod, Khuroson, Javan, Shaartuz, Kabodiyan, Jiliqul, Bokhtar, Vosse, Dangara and in Dushanbe. Plans were approved by heads and deputy heads of local executive authorities.
ii. Under NOVIB project – training of leaders and members of dekhkan farms as well as workers of khukumats, jamoats, land committees under tax authorities, workers from social protection bodies, prosecutor officials and workers of public organizations on practical implementation of laws and legal procedures for achievement of the rights of farmers. Assistance in the field of improvement of legal awareness of the population about processes, results and procedures connected with development of land reform in the Republic of Tajikistan. Consolidation of strengths and opportunities of governmental and public organizations in the field of advocating of legal interests of dekhkans.
iii. Under UNDP project - preparation of recommendations for improvement of public appeals submission and consideration practice. Training and consulting of the population, local government officials and representatives of NGOs in target regions to express and use legal structures to uphold their rights and interests.
iv. Under DFID project – the first phase provides for the conduction of a survey of cooperation between authorities and citizens and participation of citizens in state affairs. Chairman of the President’s Executive Office, chairmen of Sughd and Khatlon districts as well as chairmen and heads of governmental institutions from 6 target regions of Sughd and Khatlon districts and from regions of republican subordination were attracted to the survey.
v. Under ACT CA project – training of government officials responsible for promotion and protection of the rights of vulnerable children to legislative guarantees of the rights of vulnerable children and mechanisms of the use and protection of children’s rights.
